collectNWData.sh now runs also on Linux distributions based on Redhat, Debian, Arch and Slackware

Ab Version 0.6.2 unterstützt nun collectNWData.sh nicht nur openSuSE sondern auch die wichtigsten anderen Linux Distributionen, die auf RedHat, Debian Slackware und Arch basieren. Vielen Dank an Rain_Maker, Grothesk und glako für ihre WLAN Beta Tests, ohne die ich diese große Änderung nicht ins Netz gestellt hätte.

Als Regressiontester fuer neuere Distribusionsreleases stellten sich spoensche und tomm.fa zur Verfuegung.

collectNWData.sh wurde auf den in der folgenden Tabelle gelisteten Distributionen getestet Aber auch alle weiteren auf Redhat, Debian und Slackware basierenden Distros funktionieren ziemlich sicher auch. D.h., wenn die eigene Distro in der Tabelle nicht auftaucht sollte man es trotzdem mal aufrufen und die Ergebnisse ansehen.

Starting with version 0.6.2 collectNWData.sh now supports not only openSuSE but also the other major Linux distributions based on RedHat, Debian Slackware and Arch. Many thanks to Rain_Maker, Grothesk and glako for their WLAN Beta tests to get this major change out of the door.

On all distributions in the table below collectNWData.sh was tested. All other Linux distros based on Redhat, Debian and Slackware should work also. For everybody with a Linux distro other than the ones in the table it's worth to give it a try and call the script and check the results.

Regressiontest support for newer distribusion releases was provided by spoensche und tomm.fa.
